Furniture Designer & Engineer
Nicole Hollis Interiors, San Francisco, CA | 2020 – Present

  • Lead end-to-end design and development of custom upholstered and architectural integrated furniture, ensuring alignment with brand vision and client expectations.

  • Curate high-quality materials, finishes, and craftsmanship by collaborating with sourcing and artisan partners globally.

  • Manage project workflows from ideation through prototype approvals and final production samples, meeting budget and timeline targets.

  • Utilize AutoCAD and Solidworks for detailed CAD modeling and compelling visual presentations as well as reliable engineering documentation.

  • Led the development lifecycle of a retail security furniture product line, from concept through production, aligning design with market trends and company strategy.

  • Coordinated global supplier network (US, China, Mexico) and manufacturing processes to optimize product quality and cost efficiencies.

  • Prepared market research, competitive analysis, and product documentation using Adobe Creative Suite and CAD tools.

·        Delivered presentations and product training to marketing and sales teams.

  • Developed the world’s first retail mobile phone security bracket that can be designed, engineered, manufactured, and shipped within 2 days. These developments are now protected by several utility patents of which I am a co-inventor.

  • Directed commercial furniture and millwork projects, overseeing design development, fabrication, and installation stages.

  • Led material assessment and selection focusing on upholstery and finish quality to maintain category leadership.

  • Managed budgets, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration between design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.

  • Traveled onsite to suppliers to ensure product quality and resolve manufacturing challenges.

  • Delivered dozens of high-scale client corporate interior projects on time and on budget.
